I swear I am still here hahahaha

Well hello my fellow scrappers.  I am sorry I have been away for a while.  I was in Ohio at the Cleveland Clinic with my Grams who had open heart surgery.  I am finely home and it looks like my Grams is all brand spankin' new.....thanks goodness!  She is my favorite person in the whole wide world, and the foundation of my extended family.  I think we would all fall apart if it wasn't for her.

I am posting the ATC I made later today when I download the pics.  I made them for Little Scraps of Heaven swap and they were SO MUCH FUN!!!!  I think I went overboard with them though....I signed up for 2 groups and made 4 cards :) for each group...They may get sick of me lol

Be back soon with some pics!

Pay It Forward

So I found the sweetest idea over at Scrappin Mamma!
If you follow blogs I am sure you have seen and follow hers, and if not get to getting, she is amazing!
Here is what she posted.
"Pay It Forward" is the idea of blessing someone with a random act of kindness without expecting anything in return. It’s passing on a kindness, hoping that your recipients will do the same, and forming a never-ending chain of goodwill. But it isn’t only kindness, it is also a means to connect and share instead of just keeping it to ourselves.

"I promise to send an original creation to the (1st) 5 people who leave a comment here. They must, in turn, post this on there blog, and send something they make to the 1st 5 people who comment on their status."

Here's what you need to do:
1. Leave a comment on this post. I will send a handmade gift to the first 5 commenters.
2. Create a post on your blog offering the same.
3. Send a handmade item to your first 5 commenters.
4. It must be sent to your 5 people sometime in 2011.
Please do not sign up unless you are fully committed to making your 5 items!
I know I don't have many of you followers yet but I know the ones I have are special.  If you would want to participate, it is such a sweet and special thing to keep going I am sure we wont be disappointed!

Still Waiting......

Well I have to say I am sorry for not posting anything lately but I have to say I am patiently waiting for my Cougar Black Cat to arrive in the mail.....Okay so at times I am not so patient :0)
My husband surprised me with this fantastic gift to say thank you for all the support and encouragement I have been giving him as he finishes Medical School. I thought that was so sweet because he is the one that is so busy!
I ended up getting the 15inch, because I didn't want to wait even longer for the 13 inch to come in....bad I know but what can I say, I am GOING CRAZY HERE!

I received an email yesterday saying my new baby is in customs and will be shipped to me soon :)
I will post pics of my addition as soon as it arrives.

Best Wishes to Prince William and Kate!

Well today I don't have a scrapbook post for you but I wanted to put something on here about the Royal Wedding.  I know, I know we are all hearing about the Royal Wedding from every which way, but its sad to think that Princess Diana will not be here to see her son marry in person.

I always felt like Diana was a diamond in the rough, not many people in this world can touch the lives of many and still have values and not let it change them.   I feel like Princess Diana was one of those such people.  I was in my first year of collage when she died and I guess just like my parents generation always says...I remember right where I was (about JFK) I remember exactly where I was.  I am not comparing JFK to Princess Diana by any means its just something that sticks out in my mind.  She is one of the few people that I actually respected and admired growing up.

So today with her ring her son will be married.  I hope her ring brings them luck and love, and it makes William feel closer to his mother on such a special day.
Here are a few pics I thought you might like.

Both of the engagement pictures

A mothers love :)

May her love story continue!

Happy Easter!

Well I hope everyone had a very Happy Easter and a relaxing long weekend.  I got so wrapped up in all my Easter stuff I forgot to share these cute little carrots with you.  I made these for my daughter and son's class so they could give out a little Easter treat.  The little carrots pattern I got from Paper, Scissors, Ink.   What an awesome pattern she came up with!  Love her blog and all her other ideas so you should definitely go check her out, you will not be disappointed. If anything you will be hooked all day like I was just cruising through all the posts you missed before hand lol.

I imported her file and with keep proportions I just make it 1/2 inch bigger.  I could still get 4 on  a 12x12 piece of paper but it held a little more eggs.   Loved making these and both my older kids loved sharing them with the class.

Thanks for looking, I will post again soon.

Mother's Day Cards

For this card I again used Lettering Delights Mulberry Lane Too collection set.  I saw this frame and fell in love with it!  If you go down to the next pic you will see the another element from the same collection that I added to the inside of the card to give it a little something extra.

I just need to add too that Coordination's paper is just so stinkin' cool!  I love that stuff!  I have to say I love my Cuttle Bug too!  I know with all the lawsuits going on right now allot of you scrappers are boycotting Procraft...and I get it, but I still have a soft spot for all my embossing folders and my cuttle bug.

I don't know where I got this stamp but I thought it was just so perfect for the inside of a Mother's Day card!
Thanks for taking a peek,
Theresa
