Best Wishes to Prince William and Kate!

Well today I don't have a scrapbook post for you but I wanted to put something on here about the Royal Wedding.  I know, I know we are all hearing about the Royal Wedding from every which way, but its sad to think that Princess Diana will not be here to see her son marry in person.

I always felt like Diana was a diamond in the rough, not many people in this world can touch the lives of many and still have values and not let it change them.   I feel like Princess Diana was one of those such people.  I was in my first year of collage when she died and I guess just like my parents generation always says...I remember right where I was (about JFK) I remember exactly where I was.  I am not comparing JFK to Princess Diana by any means its just something that sticks out in my mind.  She is one of the few people that I actually respected and admired growing up.

So today with her ring her son will be married.  I hope her ring brings them luck and love, and it makes William feel closer to his mother on such a special day.
Here are a few pics I thought you might like.

Both of the engagement pictures

A mothers love :)

May her love story continue!

Happy Easter!

Well I hope everyone had a very Happy Easter and a relaxing long weekend.  I got so wrapped up in all my Easter stuff I forgot to share these cute little carrots with you.  I made these for my daughter and son's class so they could give out a little Easter treat.  The little carrots pattern I got from Paper, Scissors, Ink.   What an awesome pattern she came up with!  Love her blog and all her other ideas so you should definitely go check her out, you will not be disappointed. If anything you will be hooked all day like I was just cruising through all the posts you missed before hand lol.

I imported her file and with keep proportions I just make it 1/2 inch bigger.  I could still get 4 on  a 12x12 piece of paper but it held a little more eggs.   Loved making these and both my older kids loved sharing them with the class.

Thanks for looking, I will post again soon.

Mother's Day Cards

For this card I again used Lettering Delights Mulberry Lane Too collection set.  I saw this frame and fell in love with it!  If you go down to the next pic you will see the another element from the same collection that I added to the inside of the card to give it a little something extra.

I just need to add too that Coordination's paper is just so stinkin' cool!  I love that stuff!  I have to say I love my Cuttle Bug too!  I know with all the lawsuits going on right now allot of you scrappers are boycotting Procraft...and I get it, but I still have a soft spot for all my embossing folders and my cuttle bug.

I don't know where I got this stamp but I thought it was just so perfect for the inside of a Mother's Day card!
Thanks for taking a peek,
Theresa

Frogs! Catching Frogs!

Well I have been meaning to do this LO for almost a year now...I will hang my head in shame I know!  So when I saw the April Challenge for One by One the Flamingos are Stealing my Sanity (I just love that name!) I decided it was time to get it done finally!  I used the Hooked on U pattern from Treasure Box Designs
The cattails just framed the pictures so perfect!

I also  used the Froggy pattern from Designs on Cloud 9 they just opened and I loved this frog.  They also have a chick and bunny I am using for another Easter LO.  The other cuts are just traced from other clip art but I think they turned out so cute.  If you would like them just leave a comment and I will send them over to you.

My mom is an AMAZING quilter, and I don't even think that word does her justice, but she just recently got into quilling and she took to it like a duck to water!  She just whipped up that fly in seconds and right off the top of her head!  I love having a talented mom!  I hope my kids will feel the same way about me!
So there it is I hope you like it.

I wanted to enter and my daughter wanted to Create!

So one of my favorite blogs that I like snooping around had a contest and I just loved all the DT creations so I wanted to join in the fun!  I have got confess that I only own 4 carts....I know bad right!  I have the 2 that my expression came with, Tinkerbell, and Create a Critter (which was just to cute I had to buy it and I am waiting for it to come in the mail RIGHT NOW hehehehe)
Well the challenge requirement is to have a cricut cart cut on your project, so I went with my favorite cut on the Tinkerbell cart and make a butterfly card to put on my daughters gift she is giving her teacher for Easter!  It is really my daughters project, she picked out all the colors and where to put them...I have to say for her young age she did great making sure all the colors I told her that had to be in the card were shown. It was allot of fun scrapping with her.  I cant wait till I can buy her her own cricut and we can scrap and create together!  She is my only girl so I have BIG plans for her lol.

Thanks for looking at mine and my daughters creation, she is VERY proud of it....so cute!
So go and check out Fantabulous Cricut: Spring Fling Cricut Crawl and see what all the talented ladies are up to!

Lettering Delights

Well I have been hearing allot about Lettering Delights lately and I decided I would go and check them out.  I cant believe the deal they have going on right now!  ALL SVG files are just $2 and all other stuff is $1!!!  saw a collection called Summer Treats and decided I would purchase it just to see how well they cut and if they were easy to use. They were sooooo easy!!!!  I am a huge fan of theirs now!  I am loving the whimsy feel of their cuts, so unique and pretty!  You should go check them out if you haven't already and if you have what collection is your favorite, I am needing more ideas hehehehe.  Happy crafting and here is a card I made from the collection I purchased.
Again I am sorry for my not so great picture taking skills....what can I say I am a scrapper not a photographer.  At least my pics for my scrapbooks are turning out okay :0)

Easter Bunny Time!!!

Well I wanted to post a double LO I did using the Easter Bunnies Collection from My Scrap ChickI love their designs and they are super easy to use.

Easter at my house is a BIG deal.  I have 4 little ones so its as much fun for me and my husband as it is for them.  This year my oldest son who is 7 gave up candy for let....and candy is his most favorite thing ever!  He has been so strict with himself and I am so proud of him.  I bet that means the Easter Bunny will bring him lots of candy, even though I will tell him not to over do it on the candy like I do every year :)

My Lazy Layout

After I made the card for my friend Kristy I had allot of scraps left over so I decided to make a LO and use allot of them up.  I will put a pick of us 4 girl friends in it for her.

The reason I call it a lazy LO is because I didn't use anything but scissors :)
The patterned paper was amazing and I didn't want to cover it OR not use it so I decided to make it pull double duty by cutting out just parts of the larger flowers so that the photo mat could slide under it.  I think it turned out so cute!

Here is a close up of the flowers
Once again the shimmery pink doesn't look as hot pink as it really is but what are ya gonna do?!?!?!

Here is the paper stack I used.  There are so many more beautiful papers in it that I haven't even touched yet....I wonder what I will do next lol

If anyone has ever done a LO using a fab paper like this please let me know.  I love looking at others creations, that is probably why my blog following list is so looooooonnnnnnngggggg.

Fun right...now head on over!

A Card for some Challenges

My VERY First Electronic Cutter Free Card

Well here is my first project that I am posting.  I whipped this up really fast and didn't even use my cutter....shocker!  I ALWAYS use my electronic cutter.  I figured I would give it a try to make a card the old fashion way :)  I made this card for a friend who's birthday is coming up.  She always wears black and white and if she does wear a color is seems to always be pink.  I look at this card and it screams Kristy lol.

I apologize for the not so great picture taking I am excited to post this but the lighting isn't that great.
(Ok to be honest I am not the BEST at taking pictures either but this one is a little worse than most :) )

I was wearing a red shirt so some of the silver paper or highlights looks red....ooops.
Here is a close up of the flowers and I love making these.  I used glittery shear fabric and patterned paper with a gem brad in the middle.

Flower Info.
For the black and white one I used 2 size flower punches and inked the edges in between some of the layers I added the fabric I didn't use any adhesive just the Zots glue dots.

For the pink small flower I used sparkly fabric again and just a 1/2 strip of paper.  I scored the paper every 1/4 of an inch and accordion folded it.  I then straightened out the paper and glued just a sliver of the edge to the side of the fabric I cut to about 1 inch.  I then re-accordion folded the strip and curved it into a circle and put a Zot in the middle of that to keep it in place.
Here is a close up of the flowers.

*Just a note...your paper trimmer will cut through A LOT of the thin fabrics so you can get a more accurate cut.

Here is a list of the challenges I bravely entered
This card is my entry for these challenges:
